Packaged fruit juices in most cases would also contain processed sugar, water, and preservatives to prevent it going bad. All these would also constitute a hazard to the health of the consumer.

Melanoma is a type of skin cancer and consumption of fruit diets such as oranges and grapes increases your risk.

In the journal of clinical oncology, researchers published that too much consumption of grapefruits and oranges might raise the risk of getting melanoma which is the most deadly type of skin cancer.

In the study with over one hundred thousand participants, it was found that although the risk of melanoma was two percent, the risk of getting melanoma was thirty-six percent higher in people who ate or drank citrus fruits daily compared to those that consumed these fruits less than twice per week.

The researchers, however, did not recommend cutting back on citrus. The study showed different results when different parameters were tested. Also, the researchers hoped to continue the research to investigate the correlations observed further.

  • Fruits make the skin look and feel younger. Fruits like mango are packed with Vitamin C, Folate, phosphorus, and zinc which contributes to making the skin glow and look younger.
  • Fruits help in repairing damaged skin tissues and help to quicken rejuvenation of scars and blemishes on the skin.
  • Because most fruits have anti-oxidants, they help combat free radicals which helps to prevent acne and other skin irritation problems

If some things are put into consideration before consuming fruits, then it is safe to eat fruits regularly.
